We, as the Mutloatse Arts Heritage Trust, in partnerships and inclusivesness: and so,we welcome one and all to assist us in retelling our liberation struggles from our own individual perspectives.

Together with the Department of Arts and Culture (DAC), we initiated the Fellowship Awards and Grants in April 2006, with the first 12 recepients announced at a gala dinner ceremony held at the Johannesburg City Hall.

In August, in a second public-private initiative, the DAC's language directorate released the Women's Freedom March of 1956 publication, in celebration of the Golden Jubilee Anniversary..

Both the Sowetan newspaper and the SABC were media partners with reference to the book Soweto '76.

Skotavillebooks is the publishing unit of the Trust.
